There are two worlds that exist side by side, ours and the Nether. Watch as these young men find love while protecting the balance between the two worlds. These stories follow a distinct time line and I recommend reading them in order to get the full experience. This series is COMPLETE.
Destiny's Call
Aiden Dalrymple, the Medium for his generation, hates the fact he can’t practice the Craft normally. He tries again and again to use his family’s abilities in the traditional manner, always ending in failure. His parents swear he’s destined for greatness, something he highly doubts. What good could summoning creatures of the Nether do? Daniel Bradford is a Mage, having studied the Craft since he was young. He returns home from college upon being called by his family. His mother, gifted with the Sight, has foreseen a great calamity within the Nether and he is to play a part in bringing balance. Him and one other. Aiden and Daniel are sent to the Nether to prevent the foreseen disaster. While they’re there Daniel must find a way to bring balance to Aiden himself, and make him accept the fact he is the only one that can help them solve this mystery.
Marcus, bored with his new role as Daniel and Aiden’s bodyguard, agrees to go on a mission into the Nether. Seeing this as his chance to do something exciting, he tries his best to put up a good front for his assigned partner, Edmond Elena of the house of the rabbit, of which he shares a passionate yet sad past. Edmond holds deep scars from his past with Marcus, scars he doesn’t want reopened. Still, the pieces of Marcus that he sees beneath his armor of strength and aloofness weakens his heart to him even as he realizes Marcus hasn’t changed in all these years. Fighting off their growing desires and feelings for each other, the two must find the stolen tomes of the previous Mediums. Their search for the books brings them into contact with the mysterious group known as the Blood of Aeon, the group responsible for the death of the Dalrymple family forty years ago, and possible secrets that could destroy their world.
William has watched on the sidelines as his cousins Marcus and Daniel both found love. He’s done his part as a shield for the future king and sacrificed his own heart in the building war between the families. Now he’s being tested again.
Nevada is the third son of the Gallo family, the closest allies to the Dalrymple family. He comes to Aiden when he’s attacked by the same people that plotted against the House of the Dragon forty years ago. The same faction that would see the balance destroyed.
William volunteers to take Nevada in and keep him safe so he may help them in finding the Blood of Aeon hiding in the Nether. While doing so he must fight his growing interest and desires in the other mage, his duty must come first.
Along the way they must unravel mysteries, fight of ancient enemies, and come to terms with what destiny has in store for them.
Zachary Bradford has spent his whole life running from the future he’s seen, not wanting to accept it. He definitely doesn’t want anything to do with Titus Lucius. The man his parents have arranged for him to marry, and who he’s secretly loved for years.
Titus has been tasked with finding the new Royal Seer. A search that leads him to his betrothed, Zachary. He must make Zachary accept both their new relationship, and the future he’s running from. He doesn’t have an easy time of it, as Zachary is determined to keep him at arm’s length, and hide from the truth of his own destiny.
The final battle for the balance of both our world and the Nether is finally at hand, and everything hinges on Zachary’s ability to see the future. He must accept fate, even if that means losing the one person he loves above all, Titus.
This story is intricately woven, with sexual tension, denial, danger, balance and betrayal within its pages. I loved how Daniel and Aiden helped each other; they definitely balance each other out. Well-written, with a smooth pace and interesting characters, this is an excellent start to the series and I can't wait to read more. Highly recommended. ~ 5 Stars
I so enjoy jumping in to a brand-new series, especially one involving the paranormal as it is a favorite genre of mine. Having read other books by A.M. Halford, I felt guaranteed that Aiden and Daniel's story would keep me interested. I definitely wasn't disappointed and I loved learning about the world of the Nether, mages, and a powerful Medium. ~ 4 Stars
With meddling families, traitors in the mix, unrequited love, there is plenty of action going on. I was very pleased when things were cleared up with Tullia, ... There is plenty in here to move this story along, as well as laying the groundwork for future stories, full of intrigue. ~ 4 Stars
An extremely exciting tale that reveals the potential of a hidden traitor within the royal family and left me hanging on the possibility of who it might be. I adored the fact that Edmond and Marcus got their misunderstanding taken care of and were free to admit to their love for each other. ~ 4 Stars
A seriously exciting book, overall, but even more so during the unveiling of the traitor and the subsequent battle in the Nether. I really liked the way the author tied everything up ... William and Nevada got their happy ending, and the whole story was full of action and suspense. ~ 4 Stars
This is a brilliant book in the series, and we reunite with Daniel and Aiden, as well as Marcus and Edmond, whilst still giving William and Nevada plenty of time. As with the previous couples, you get some serious sexy times, but you get a story too. It isn't just erotica! It is a hot and steamy, well-thought-out and thoroughly enjoyable fantasy series. ~ 4 Stars
"I was drawn into their story, hoping against hope that this time Zachary's vision would prove false. There is a conclusion to the writing, a finalising of the story, which helps to round off this series nicely." ~ 4 Stars
‘Power of Sight’ was so much more exciting than I thought it would be. I had no clue where the author was taking me and I absolutely love it when that’s the case. ~ 5 Stars
