So, I’ve been tossing around the idea of making writing goals for this year, especially considering I didn’t hold even close to the ones I made for 2017. Obviously I’ve decided to do it! Basically over the next year I’m going to try and write one book a month … or finish one book a month. I’ve created a schedule that I’m hoping will keep me going—if I look at it enough—and it has me looking like an insane person. Honestly, I’d love to get ALL of those done this year, but in reality I’ll be happy if I get half of them done. It is important to note that these are writing goals, and not publication goals. The self-pub books, Tulsa Immortals and HBIA: Case Files will most likely be out within a month of two after being completed. The series published through Siren are whenever they schedule the books for release after accepting them.
Now, for a quick break down of the hopeful year to come. I feel sorry for my computer. January (this month) I’ve already started on Itáyu Lake 8 Photographic Heart and I’ve shared a few teasers on my facebook pages. I’m pushing to have this book done by the end of the month and sent into Siren. I know a lot of people have been waiting for the next Itayu Lake book, so I’m working on it first. Next for this month is a new series called Not so Fair Tales. These are modern reimagining’s of classic fairy tales with an MM spin. I’ve revealed all three covers for the currently planned books on my facebook pages. And will share them on Twitter soon. You will also find all revealed covers at the end of this blog. February sees me finishing the first book in the Not so Fair Tales series and starting on my third installment in the Tulsa Immortals universe, Colby’s Biker. Again, cover has already been revealed on facebook. I’m hoping beyond hope to have Colby’s Biker out by April of this year, fingers crossed. March is a full month because I’ve got THREE projects going on in it. Firstly, finishing up Colby’s Biker. Second, starting a secret project that will be revealed at a later time. Third, I’m going to start Cherry Matchmaker 2 in this month. So yeah, full month. April, like March, is another month with three projects. I’ll be finishing up Cherry Matchmaker 2 and hopefully putting the final touches on the Secret project. I’m also planning to start Itáyu Lake 9. 2018 will be a good year for my Itáyu Lake series if I keep going strong. May will be a return to the usual programming of two books a month with me finishing up Itáyu Lake 9 and starting Not so Fair Tales 2. June should be the month I finish Not so Fair Tales 2 and start on HBIA: Case Files 2! That’s right, my half-breed cops and forensic alchemist should be returning this summer!! Also, I revealed the cover for HBIA 2 already as well. July, obviously pushing to finished HBIA: Case Files 2 with the hopes of getting it out for everyone to read before the end of August. I’ll also be starting Cherry Matchmaker 3 this month. August is going to be an easy month I hope with my finishing up the 3rd in the Cherry Matchmaker series and starting on Itáyu Lake 10. September is pretty hot here so I’m hoping for another easy month with finishing up Itáyu Lake 10 and starting on my fourth edition into Tulsa Immortals, Levi’s God. I have NOT revealed a cover for Levi’s God yet. October will have Levi’s God finishing with the hopes of having it out by the end of November in time for the holidays, maybe early December depending on what happens. I’m also going to be starting on my second Secret project this month. November is the month I’ll finish up the second of my Secret projects and start on my third Not so Fair Tales. This takes me right into December and I’m hoping to have the third Not so Fair Tales completed by the end of December. I’ve left myself open at the end of December to either start a new project or take some time off over the holidays to just breathe and get ready for the new year. Again, this is a tentative list that I’m hoping to complete. The chances of me actually sticking to it are about as high as me winning the lottery and taking over the world by the end of the year. But, you never know! I encourage readers to continue to keep up to date with me by following me on Facebook and twitter, and of course dropping by my blog and website on a routine basis. Looking forward to another amazing year, keep in touch.
